Slate Group is seeking a prepress/designer who is excited to learn new skills within the realm of print design by joining our growing prepress team. This is a full-time, on-site position with competitive pay (DOE). The right candidate should be ready to work within a collaborative team on a wide variety of preflight, print design, and graphics.

Candidate Attributes:

• Ability to be flexible, proficient, and dynamic in practice
• Delegate time efficiently toward multiple orders

Common Duties:

• Understand instructions from client/rep and ask questions when needed
• Preflight files and send proof to clients/reps
• Communicate issues with files back to the prepress manager
• Check layout on tickets for correct trim size of product/substrate
• Operate Apogee for layout/proofing of incoming jobs
• Create die line, foil stamps, and spot uv files

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Strong work ethic
• Solid communication skills
• Ability to operate the following programs:
• Illustrator
• Photoshop
• InDesign
• Acrobat Pitstop
